It's the last day of NEUTRA WEEK, so today I'll leave you with a little eye candy/history before the weekend officially begins. The Lovell House (you may remember it from the movie L.A. Confidential or Mike Mills' Beginners) is another white machine rising from the lush green hills of California. It was the house that made Richard Neutra's career, and I hope it will make your weekend.

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe would have celebrated his birthday this week (131 candles, in fact). It's also the middle of spring break season. So in honor of the world’s greatest modernist, celebrate Mies by visiting one (or all) of these sites.
(Note: they may not be tropical locales, but all the glass more than makes up for it, right?)
It's Friday, so I don't know about you, but I am very much looking forward to the weekend. Here at claass HAUS, we have this (nerdy?) Saturday morning tradition of watching This Old House while eating breakfast, and this weekend will be no exception. So if you are like me and love a little Kevin O'Connor with your coffee, you'll be pleased to hear that the newest season of the show will feature the rehab of a house in Detroit’s historic Russell Woods neighborhood
It’s Monday again, and for your viewing pleasure I offer you a real treat -
PAUL RUDOLPH and his Walker Guest House (Sanibel Island, Florida, 1952). It's midMOD Monday, and since tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, this one will focus on a real heartbreaker.
