It's midMOD Monday, and since tomorrow is Valentine’s Day, this one will focus on a real heartbreaker. I’ll leave the backstory for you to fill in if you are interested (it’s a sad, long tale), but Richard Neutra's Cyclorama was demolished a few years ago, and I still can’t. stop. thinking about it. I’ve always loved this building, and its loss is one that architects, historians, and lovers of Modernism will not soon get over.
Luckily, this Neutra gem was recently named a National Historic Landmark, so we can finally let our hearts begin to mend.
