vintage finds friday

Last weekend, claass HAUS took a field trip to one of the best flea market/antique shops/centers of vintage kitsch in North Carolina, Sleepy Poet Antique Mall, and per usual, the place was FILLED with amazing furniture and art objects for the modern design seeker.

​Here are just a few of my favorites.

This mid-century dresser was recently refinished and at under $600, it is much more affordable than similar items at the big retail stores (looking at you West Elm). I can tell you this piece was in excellent shape, and if we could find room for it, it would be ours.

This reproduction chair is made by the Atomic Chair Company in Charlotte. They have several styles (the rockers are probably my favorite) in a wide variety of fabrics and colors. Check out their website (link available above).

If you find yourself in the Charlotte area, you should definitely stop at Sleepy Poet. Plus, there's free popcorn and push cars for the little ones, so it's a good place to waste a few hours on a hot/rainy/cold/snowy day (speaking from experience).
