It's spring, and the weather is beautiful. But my old outdoor furniture is not. Time to update that dusty, faded patio decor. Recently, I went down the black hole that is 1stdibs.com looking for 1960s patio furniture. I dreamed. I drooled. I rechecked my bank account several times. But most of the beautiful pieces (see above) were just not in my 'outdoor furniture budget' this year. For now though, I'll just keep wishing for these Woodard chairs. And these Fibrella chaises. Pretty great, right? But honestly, a $3,000 set of bright yellow fiberglass pool chairs = not realistic for the majority of us (plus I don't even have a pool). So feeling inspired by all of the colorful plastic and effortlessly bent metal and rattan, I came up with a collection of outdoor stuff that is realistic and still gives that very desirable "mod" patio vibe. Plus, all of these items are easy to find and come in well below $300. No flea market haggling and disappointments here. (clockwise from left corner) dusk blue-green outdoor rug (5x8), $89.95 retro metal tulip 2 seat double chair, $157.99 mirari hexagon garden stool in plate silver, $106.99 ixtapa white long chair in white, (on sale) $239.00 cayman stripe print outdoor pillow in bewitching, $34.99 trent wind chime, $34.95 idle black outdoor chaise lounge in black, (on sale) $269.00 (similar to the EOS chaise at DWR!!) threshold lumbar pillow in black stripe, $19.99 tahiti cement planters in teal and mint green, $29.95-$59.95 Oh, and please, don't forget the flamingos. Have a great week!
