I read a lot. I cook a lot. I look at buildings. More than a lot. So I need big books with big, beautiful photographs to feel fulfilled. And my house is full of them. So full, I might need to get a storage unit soon. But I digress.
Anyway, today I offer you the food books I’m most craving this month (all three also look pretty good on display). And if you wait very patiently, I'll post the design books tomorrow. Guten Appetit!

Valentine’s Day is less than a week away, so even though I purchased a gift for my husband a couple of weeks ago (I’m a planner), I’m pretty sure he will be scrambling for something at the very last minute.
So for my husband’s sake, and the sake of all things rosé/blush/pink colored, I offer my Valentine’s Day wish list. It’s not often that famous architects and their iconic work get the Hollywood treatment, so you can imagine my utter excitement when I read that the Farnsworth House, Mies van der Rohe’s domestic masterpiece, is becoming a studio picture. Yes. That's right. A movie about building a house. Not just any house, but a house that this architectural historian's dreams are made of. And for a little icing on that glass box cake, Jeff Bridges and Maggie Gyllenhal are teaming up to star in the flick. Fingers crossed that the movie will be as dramatic as the house itself. It seems like MACRAMÉ is EVERYWHERE, and even though I may be a little late to the Boho game, I've always liked a little CaliMod in my life. So I managed to convince the husband to whip up this beauty for the corner of our dining nook.
